X-factor (eks’ fak ter) n. 1. In sports, the person who lifts one team to victory with a seemingly impossible performance. 2. An overlooked quality that is solely responsible for one achieving an end result.

At Carolina Covenant Church, our X-facTor is Jesus Christ! We meet twice each week and our mission is to help youth experience the transforming power of God. Many people know about Jesus. We want to know Jesus.

We also believe Christ calls us to serve our church, our neighbors and our community, and we look for ways to make a difference in the lives of others.

Sunday nights from 5:30 – 7:30. We spend the first hour playing games, hanging out and getting to know each other. At the beginning of the second hour, we come together to worship our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We sing songs, study the Bible and talk about our hopes and fears as we strive to learn more about God and conform to His will. No questions are off limits.

Wednesday nights from 6:45 – 7:45. One week we may be serving dinner at a homeless shelter. The next week we may be meeting new friends at a nearby nursing home. Yet another week you’ll find us diving into a new book that looks at living a revolutionary life in the midst of a “what’s in it for me?” world. Wednesday nights give us a chance to take what we’ve learned and apply it to real life. Living a Christian life is more than just knowing the right answers to church questions. It involves faith so strong that it moves well past knowledge in our heads and into an unquenchable passion in our hearts. You know that Christ died on the cross and was resurrected on the third day? Good, but the real question is how has that changed your life?
